i bought phoenix wright 2 and 3 over thanksgiving, not knowing what order they were in the series, and actually end up playing the 3rd game first. i like it so fa, so now im looking for the first game in the series and it's no where to be found, except on amazon.com marketplace. maybe i will try a few local ebgames for used ones.

i still haven't manage to sell my ffxi account yet, with the 4th expansion on the way, it will be worth less and less ^^;; apparently they are finally adding male mithra (male cat) as playable character in this one, which is almost like an urban legend race in the game and often makes one wonder what does the female mithra do and where does baby mithra come from. anyway so now hocus wants to play again, but he already sold is ps2 and i have all his ffxi stuff, and we will be more than 2 expansion packs behind on the storyline. i guess we would ONLY be ONE 75 job behind red, yup just one >.> i also heard since the crack down on gill farmers, there is now gill deflation, so maybe the 4mil i had left on me would be worth something now, but not so much my gears i guess.

went to dave and buster for a friend's birthday party this sunday. jim and i sucked at pump it up heh. i was really out of practice at my usual web game like kiosk thingie where you play drop the chip and disappears when you connect type of game. i manage to get to the 3rd round on the motion detecting boxing game for the first time. there was one player in the high score table that got pass 3rd round. jim was really proud of me for getting 16th place, but now my body is sore all over :(

last weekend i got a cast iron skillet, also bought a big bag of plant soil and 2 pots, more on those later.

http://www.inselkampf.com/ is a web game, see wiki for more info. basically you own an island, build resources and ships etc, then try to colonize other islands. everything takes time, so you pick something to do and go awhile for a while. its really slow when you are just starting, i started about a week ago, still mostly just expanding resources. the site itself looks like it was done in a week for some class, but actually its pretty big, alot of players all over the world. it doesnt take a whole lot of time, so will see how it goes in the long run. here some more links if you are interested:

well, i finally gonna try wow. downloaded it, installed and getting patches. going to play on alliance side on lightning blade, since coincindentally several friends already on that server. also found out scoot still have active, didnt even know he had one, so he will join me as well. i told my bro to help pull me out if i get addicted again. plus i have words of protection from jim

since i first played cooking mama, i always thought wouldnt it be interesting if you actually try to make something from the game? its certainly possible, since all the recipes are real, but the problem is it doesnt give you any actual measurement of the ingredients, and alot of the steps are shorten or omitted, so its not so easy unless you already know what you are doing. but alas, someone actually did it!

looks like seed will fail, still one whole month left in my subscription, but only log in once every other day or so. not just me, alot of people have left, my ring is mostly deserted now, the irc as well, the other major ring lead by some very socialist dude is only one left it seems.
i tried second life very briefly today, not very impressed. might juset want til jim comes back from robocup and play my xbox while i can.

yesterday i sent an email to popsci in response to the robocup related article in june issue, which only had few sentense about small size, but was complete crap.
speaking of which, jim and mike left today for germany. because of mike, the awsome but very weird hardware guy, cmu have very good chance of getting reclaiming the championship again. also this year there is a new team made out of bunch students from MIT and Harvard, it will be entertaining heh. aibo didnt enter this year, since half of the grads are no longer involved in robocup, and other half have moved on to qrio. who will be a commentary at aibo games this year, look forward to his first public appearance.

i finished first 2 collections of sherlock holmes short stories, working on the 3rd one, hopfully there is more. that and podcasts have replaced kawaii-radio on winamp for me. while i like the varieties on kawaii, its still limited and sometimes same songs still get requested repeatedly, plus it uses too much bandwidth sometimes. my 2 favorite podcast subscriptions so far are quirks & quarks and tWiT, if anyone else is interested, i recommend podnova to go with it.

Now Playing: Seed [the game]

Everyone slowly disappeared from the silk road and Seed came along. Its pretty buggy, but very different from the mmo I have played before. SciFi, very RP and community oriented, casual player friendly with offline training and production. The dev and gm is very lively bunch young people and very responsive to the community. Game is interesting so far, even though it lacks content. Will see how long it last after the 2 for 1 deal.

it might have been just another one of EGM's april fool's joke, but i sure liked the concept. i have a GBA that co-worker passed down to me which i only played for a week, i'm still missing a mp3 player and pda. just not enough room in my purse, barely even have room for my cell, i have long ago stoped taking my camera with me to places except for long scenic trips =/

i was talking with jim about this idea, and we came up with this game boy, mp3 player [video], pda and cellphone with gps hybrid. sure a game boy is much bigger than mp3 player or cell now a days, but with 5 in 1 device you save alot of room. i thought igame was a perfect merge of mp3 player and game boy, you really dont need any more buttons for mp3 player than whats already available for gaming. they can share the use of flash memory, battery life, big LCD screen for mp3 album cover/video. and this would be a perfect thing for apple too, sell flash games and what-not on itune, i would buy them over gba type games for a cheap price ¬.¬

next to pile on to is pda function with gps, this is not hard to imagine either. you already got the big screen real estate and memory, add some form of OS, copy DS's touch screen LCD thing that uses stylus and you will have it. jim also suggested gps, not only for the function thats currently out there [exploring, driving, etc], but if you have pda with address book, todo list and such, you can have it do very useful things! save locations when you visit them, and have it give you notice when you enter or leave certain locations. for example, prompt me with my shopping list when i walk into giant eagle, or prompt me to take my mail, key etc when i leave my house.

ok last merging cellphone might be weird to at first [remember side phone], but i manage to convince jim that this is very doable. if this device already has pda functionalities, then it should be able to sync with your computer for address book and contacts, plus you got a stylus allow you to edit just as you would on a pda, so really there is no need for buttons to do text/number entries. now a days everyone uses bluetooth or wired head piece, and most phones already have voice dialing, just move the voice dialing button to the headpiece and voila!

but unfortunatly, unless some big company would actually do it right, it will probabbly end up like alot of the things thats already out there with alot of limitations, restrictions making it very crippled unless you hack it.

i'm not an addict! see, i have canceled my ffxi ... and moved on to other games XD

i havent really play ff much since winter break, all my RL friends have now left it, i see people quiting on my hnmls almost everyday, its really depressing, plus too much drama in my social as well ass hnm ls. so i decided to cancel it on the morning of 3/31 right before the nyc trip. kinda weird to quit right when nnew expansion pack is coming up, but its just really boring to play game alone. i can always come back whenever they run the return champain [which is happening again for the new expansion pack].

anyway i been playing conquer online with my bro and his friend. it doesnt have as nice graphics, but i can run 7 instances and the game plays it self lol. might sound lame to some ppl, but its actually one of the primary reason my bro been playing it [other than its free]. very nice for busy working ppl and dont have to level grind, the fun of kill same mob for many moons before you will see something new. other "lame" features include: mining, which can generate alot of silvers with auto mining bot; training ground, slow but legit training; vending, goes well with your mining bot to actually convert gems to silver.

and the new game i just started to play is silkroad online, another free mmo, but it looks very nice, similar to ffxi and lineage 2. between me and my bro, we have 5 other friends playing, still trying to recruit 4 more ppl we know lol. hopfully get to lv 20 soon, so we can make our own guild and start trading, where the real fun part of this game is [supposely]
